Mohanlal next project to beat Baahubali & 2.0 :- MohanLal  the superstar is all set to finally start work on his 2014 project – Randamoozham.  The movie will be made on an extravagant budget of Rs 600 crore. Finally, there has a movie that will beat the budget of Baahubali and 2.0. Mohanlal confirmed this on a TV show recently.

The most extravagant film will be based on the novel of M T Vasudevan Nair – Randamoozham that narrates the Mahabharatham from Bheemam’s perspective. Mohanlal will play the the main lead in the movie.

As per the reports stated that in 2014, when this project was announced, the other members of the cast were confirmed to be the following – Bollywood gorgeous actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would star as Draupadi,  Amitabh Bachchan would star as Bheeshmar, Vikram as Arjuna, even Nagarjuna was to play a lead role. A R Rahman was to handle to the music for this mythological magnum Opus, while Art Director of Baahubali – Sabu Cyril was to hop on board as well.

Here is another surprise for the fans, Mohanlal hinted at retiring in a few years from the industry. During the show the actor said that within a few years I will take a decision regarding the retirement. So, will Randamoozham be his last project?

Actor Mohanlal is shooting for  1971 – Beyond Borders, a prequel to Kurukshetra. This movie is reportedly part of the Major Mahadevan series. Mohanlal’s Christmas release – Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol is yet to release!

Mohanlal had 4 releases – Manamantha, Janatha Garage, Oppam and Pulimurugan. In fact Pulimurugan went on to become the first ever Malaylam movie to cross the Rs 100 crore mark.
