Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl first look Poster: Janhvi Kapoor All Set to Fly High in her Upcoming movie: The first look of the movie: Gunjan Saxena- The Kargil Girl was unveiled on Thursday morning and Janhvi Kapoor features as Indian Air Force officer Gunjan Saxena, who was India’s first woman combat aviator to be commissioned into the war zone during the Kargil War. This will be the first time that Janhvi is portraying a real-life person in her career. According to the reports, Janhvi gained 6kg to fit into her role in the film.

The movie is based on Gunjan Saxena, who is one of the first female pilots to fly in combat. She rescued soldiers during the Kargil War in 1999 and was honoured with the Shaurya Vir award for displaying courage and grit during the war.

In the second poster, Janhvi is seen donning her uniform and she walks amidst a crowd of men clapping. Karan Johar, who is also producing the film, tweeted the first look with a caption that read, “With unabashed courage & bravery, she made her domain in a man’s world. The movie Gunjan Saxena The Kargil Girl is being directed by Sharan Sharma, who has also co-written the script with Nikhil Mehrotra and also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Vineet Kumar Singh and Angad Bedi in important roles. While Pankaj is playing Janhvi’s onscreen father, Angad will essay the role of her brother. It is set to hit theatres on March 13, 2020.
